Is Lime One a firm of solicitors?
We are not a firm of solicitors. Lime One is built on a very different type of service and business model to those offered by traditional solicitors’ firms. We do not act or think like a law firm, nor do we charge like one. There is now a better and much more user friendly method to deliver legal services. We don't work 9-5.30 for example or treat you to a lengthy waiting time to get work done, normal turnaround is 2-3 days or earlier on most matters.
We are a private limited company. Lime One was founded by 2 dynamic lawyers who left private legal practice in 1999 to revolutionise delivery of legal advice. We did not believe the traditional law firm model worked for clients and had built in bloat on running costs which had to be passed onto clients. Is there a clearer and better way to deliver the service? We think there is.
Advisors working in Lime One have all worked in traditional legal practices. Our legal consultancy model offers a direct, efficient and clear way to deliver legal products and services. We only employ qualified staff who have in excess of 5 years practical experience post qualification. We also employ tax advisors and other commercial specialists.
Some of our staff have qualified as solicitors and barristers and are no longer practising, others work for us part time whilst remaining on the roll of solicitors and working in solicitor's firms - they work as commercial law advisors for Lime One. Others have post graduate training in law and have over 5 years experience in practical law application from solicitors' office or public sector legal work. Our founders have trained lawyers on CPD courses and also trained the Legal Services Commission and court service staff to obtain legal qualifications.
Does Lime One carry insurance or any form of guarantee for their services?

We're based in London. How can we work with you?
We work with clients all over the UK and we do this by use of the internet, conference calling, web cams and video conferencing. It is faster, easier and lower in cost to use technology to work with clients. We also have clients in Europe and some in the USA who work with us using technology. We also meet with clients in Chester, Manchester and London as required.
Is there work you cannot carry out because you are not a firm of solicitors?
There is some work which is regulated by law and only solicitors working in solicitors' firms are authorised to carry out this work, mainly probate and Land transactions. All these areas are dealt with by one of our in house solicitors via their own practices. When this is a requirement you are told immediately and given all the details.
